I just wanted to take a moment to say....

Am I handsome or what???

I love the Olympics!

Mom and Dad leave the TV on for me during the day and I've been watching a lot of the Olympics lately. I love it! I'm not much of a cold person but think a lot of these events would be fun. I want to do bobsledding and skeleton and luge and ice skating -- that's my favorite to watch right now. I got on the internet and checked it out... there are no cat olympics! Can you believe that?!?! There's Special Olympics, Para-Olympics, Jr. Olympics, Sr. Olympics but NO CAT OLYMPICS!!! I need to find a way to remedie this! I need a petition... Auntie Renee does a lot of petition type stuff... maybe she'll help me. Yes, that's it -- a petition for Cat Olympics... I'll get right on it after the ice skating is over.

A New Perspective

I like bouncing around the house and looking at things from a different angle on occasions. My latest favorite place to survey the world from is on top of Mom's china cabinet... boy is she not happy about that! (Note from Mom -- it's an antique with curved glass and is chock full of china and crystal!). I've found that if I get on the back of the couch one more good jump and I'm there! Anyway, here are some pictures of me on my new perch and my impression of Mom when I jump up there. Enjoy!

Pictures from my Exile

Here are various pictures of me exploring the hotel I promised. As you can see... not real impressive! However, I did manage to search every inch of it!

There's No Place Like Home!

There truly is no place like home! I was not impressed with the Super 8... if all hotels are like this I'd really rather not stay in them. There were too many strange noises and smells and the beds were just too soft! Dad brought me home on his way to work. It was cold but I managed. There were a lot of strange men in and out all day so I hung out in the bedroom under the down comforter.

Tonight I'm glad to announce that the heat is back on and the townhouse is nice and toasty again. I curled up on my blanket next to Dad on the loveseat tonight and had a long nap. I needed it! Hopefully tomorrow will be calm and Mom will be back at work and I can get back to my routine!

BBRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I can't believe it's been almost three weeks since I posted. SOOO much has happened!!! First, I made it back from Europe... but the airlines lost my backpack! They still haven't found it. I don't think they're looking real hard since I wasn't a ticketed passenger and they are not returning my phone calls or e-mails. Luckily I had posted most of my pictures here and e-mailed the rest to Mom so they I still have my memories.

When I got home Mom and Dad both had really bad colds so I spent several days nursing them back to health. I'd lay on them so they had to stay in bed and give them an occsional massage.

I've really been enjoying the Olympics. I love ice skating and skiing. I'd also like to try Skeleton but Mom says that it looks too dangerous! She's a real drag sometimes.

There was some excitement at the townhouse last week and everyone wound up out on the sidewalk talking for a bit. Mom found out that Slutty Girl Cat Two Doors Down's name is Moose! What a beautiful name! However, her Mom says that she really doesn't like other cats that much. Hmph! No wonder she hisses at me. Perhaps in time she'll come to love me too.

Last night it got really cold at home. I was shivering! I curled up on Dad's chest to try to get warm but it didn't help a whole lot. Mom and Dad woke up and realized it was cold and several men came over and poked around in our basement. Apparently something called a furnace quit working and they could not fix it, so we're at a hotel! I'm not real sure I like it here. There are a lot of strange noises and when I look out the window nothing is familiar. I have pictures of the primitive way we are living but can't post them until we get back home. Mom and Dad say we will be able to go home tomorrow and it will be warm again. I sure hope so... I'm having to use a cardboard tray as a litter box -- oh how the mighty have fallen!

Rome at Dawn

I travelled through the night from Greece to Italy. Here I am in front of the Vatican at dawn. Interesting place this is. I'm trying to find landmarks from the DaVinci Code... a little feline history sleuthing. I've had a few run ins with the Swiss Guard... apparently my skulking around has caught their attention. So far I've managed to keep a relatively low profile (after all my legs are only inches long!). I'm going to go do more exploring and will post more later on my adventures in Rome. I think I'll go home from here. I miss my Mom and Dad and my own litterbox.
